About Us
We want to teach kindness, positivity, and aspirational attitudes. Most importantly, we want the children to be the best version of themselves.
Preschool
Our preschool rooms are the perfect space for us to fully embrace the Montessori method.
These rooms are set up with the five main areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Culture. (Please use the drop-down bar above for more information on the 5 areas)
We also have a snack and drinking area where the children prepare their own morning and afternoon snacks. There is an arts and crafts area, and of course a cosy reading area. The children also have access to the garden and child sized bathroom facilities.

Toddler Room
Our toddler room is the perfect size to introduce the children to some of the Montessori activities that they will see in the preschool room, without them feeling overwhelmed.
In this room the focus is on the Practical Life and Sensorial areas, both directly, and indirectly, preparing them for the other three areas, Language, Maths and Culture. There is an arts and crafts area, and of course a cosy reading area. The children are assigned a Montessori Directress and they will take part in independent and group activities, either child or adult led.

Baby Room
Our baby room is a beautiful home from home space for our little ones to begin their Montessori journeys.
The room is perfectly situated allowing the babies to explore their environment freely. All the activities are at baby height allowing them to choose what to play with. The babies are also directed by their key person, and they take part in adult-led activities, games, and songs.
The baby room has its very own, separate kitchen for the preparation of milk and snacks. They have a nappy changing room, with potty facilities, a child height sink, and easy access to the garden. They also have a beautiful separate sleep room that is shared with the toddler’s room.
All children will also have access to a quiet, calm, sensory area.

Garden
Our garden is a great space, perfect for relaxing, or burning off some energy. The babies have their own area so they can play, learn, and relax, freely without worrying about the older children. The babies have a sensory garden area where they will be able to smell, touch, and see the different herbs and plants. They have a cosy relaxing, reading area where they will be protected from the elements with a canopy. There are lots of opportunities for them to take part in many outdoor activities such as building, water and sand play too.
The older children have a larger space, allowing them to use bikes, run around, skip, jump, whatever it may be! There is a planting area where the children will be looking after their very own wildflowers and herbs. These are used for activities such as flower arranging, where the children will grow the flowers, cut them, and arrange them themselves in a jar to bring home if they wish. There is also opportunities for sand, water, and mud play. Some of the children’s indoor activities such as a washing station, will be brought outside so that they are able to wash their hands, water their herbs and flowers, and many more fun water-based activities which children love.

Montessori By Ashbourne
The Montessori approach encourages independence and allows children to learn at their own pace, including having the freedom to explore in a safe and structured environment.
Children will make exciting discoveries whilst beginning to understand respect and mindfulness, as well as taking turns, sharing, and appreciating how to accept others.
